Here’s our guide to the essential appliances for a cozy summer home.

Have you ever been in the dilemma of choosing a variety of gas stoves in your kitchen because of “false firepower” and “confusion about energy efficiency”? As the core equipment of daily cooking, the purchase of gas stoves needs to be disassembled from a professional dimension. This article will start from the eight core elements, supported by thermodynamic principles and safety standards, to help you accurately lock the adaptation model.

(1)、firepower size

The heat load of the gas stove (in kW) represents the heat released per unit time, and the household range is 3.5-5.2kW. Stir-frying requires more than 4.5kW, for example, 5.2kW blue flame and fierce fire can realize “30 seconds to lock fresh”; For stewing, choose 3.8-4.2kW to avoid excessive cooking. Note: heat load ≠ effective firepower, which needs to be evaluated in combination with thermal efficiency (thermal energy utilization rate). For example, if the thermal efficiency of 5.0kW heat load is only 55%, the actual effective firepower is lower than the 4.2kW + 65% thermal efficiency model.

(2)、Thermal and Energy Efficiency

Thermal efficiency ≥ 63% is the first-class energy efficiency, which means that 70% of the gas heat is absorbed by the pot. If the energy-efficient model adopts premixed combustion technology, CO emissions can be reduced by 30% and annual gas saving is about 15%. When purchasing, identify the energy efficiency label, and give priority to the embedded model with thermal efficiency ≥ 65%, taking into account energy saving and environmental protection.

(3)、air intake mode

·The upper air supply oxygen through the top, suitable for open kitchen to reduce fume.

·The downward air supply oxygen from the bottom, and the concentrated firepower is suitable for stir-frying.

·The full air intake combines the advantages of the two, the combustion efficiency is increased by 20%, and it is suitable for various kitchen environments.

(4)、burner and fire cover

· Fine copper fire cover high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, heat conduction fast deformation, is the first choice for high-end models.

· Stainless steel fire cover cost-effective, but need to prevent deformation.

· The cast iron fire cover needs enamel coating to prevent rust.

·The copper furnace head is resistant to high temperature and has a service life of up to 10 years, which is far better than the aluminum furnace head.

(5)、ignition mode

1. Piezoelectric ceramic ignition:

Principle: Using the piezoelectric effect, when the mechanical pressure acts on the piezoelectric ceramic, the internal high-voltage electric spark is generated to ignite the gas. For example, when the knob is pressed, the piezoelectric ceramic element is impacted to release high-voltage electricity and generate an electric spark.

Advantages:

· No battery or external power supply, simple structure and low cost.

· Resistant to moisture and wind, suitable for a variety of environments, such as open kitchens or humid environments.

·Long life, piezoelectric ceramic elements can withstand high pressure, strong durability, such as some models can be used more than 1 million times.

· High stability, can still work normally under high temperature or harsh environment.

Disadvantages:

· The ignition success rate is affected by the environment, such as gas concentration, humidity or ceramic needle state, which may require multiple operations.

· The discharge time is short, the spark energy is low, and the gas may not be effectively ignited, especially when the gas pressure is insufficient.

· After long-term use, the ceramic needle may be aged or oxidized, resulting in difficulty in ignition, requiring regular maintenance or replacement.

2. Electronic pulse ignition

Principle: A high-frequency pulse voltage is generated through a battery or power drive circuit, and an electric spark is formed to ignite the gas after being boosted. For example, when the knob is pressed, the circuit generates a continuous high-voltage pulse, which discharges through the ignition needle.

Advantages:

· High ignition success rate, strong spark energy, can quickly ignite the gas, reduce the risk of gas leakage.

· Fast response and simple operation, such as “1 second ignition” experience, suitable for frequent use scenarios.

·Strong adaptability, suitable for different gas composition and pressure range, such as natural gas, liquefied gas, etc.

·High safety performance, combined with flameout protection, anti-dry burning and other functions to enhance the overall safety.

Disadvantages:

·Need to replace the battery regularly, increase maintenance costs, such as replacement every six months, long-term use of higher costs.

·Moisture or contamination may affect performance, need to keep clean and dry, to avoid circuit failure.

·Complex structure, high cost, involving batteries, circuit boards, igniters and other components, the initial investment is large.

·There may be electromagnetic interference problems, affecting the ignition stability, need to pay attention to environmental factors.

·Piezoelectric ceramic ignition needs to be manually pressed, and instantaneous electric spark is easily affected by the environment.

·Electronic pulse ignition is driven by battery and continuous high-frequency discharge, the ignition success rate is increased by 40%, and automatic ignition can be realized.

(6)、panel material

·The tempered glass panel is beautiful and easy to clean, but it needs to be burst-proof (allowing 3 ‰ self-explosion rate).

·Stainless steel panel is corrosion resistant and heat resistant, but easy to scratch.

It is recommended to choose 5-layer explosion-proof tempered glass or 304 stainless steel panel to ensure safety and durability.

(7)、safety protection

· Flameout protection device (thermocouple/ion induction) can cut off the gas within 3 seconds in case of accidental flameout.

· Anti-dry burning function through the temperature sensor at 270 ℃ automatic cut-off.

· Child lock function to prevent children from misoperation.

(8)、pot rack and protective rack

Cast iron pot holder is resistant to high temperature, and enamel coating is easy to clean. Adjustable bottom shell adapts to different table heights; Auxiliary pot holder supports sharp bottom pot. Reasonable pot height can reduce the yellow fire phenomenon, improve thermal efficiency. The above is the key points of gas stove purchase. I hope everyone can buy a gas stove suitable for themselves according to the above contents.
